I think Gary Bettman is a grade A asshole. 3 fucking lockouts in his tenure, including an entire season cancelled.
That said, I'm beyond excited that the NHL is back. Once the Patriots are done winning the super bowl, I'm all in on the Bruins. No reason they shouldn't be contending for another cup, although it's unfortunate Tim Thomas is locked in a bunker in Colorado somewhere.

In that case I straight dislike you. That 4 game sweep in the playoffs in '11 on the road to the cup was glorious redemption for the epic collapse the year before. Always fun when they play each other.
But yeah you're right. I don't think I've ever seen someone in Boston sports (or sports in general for that matter) go from being the hero of the town to one of the most hated figures so quickly. He was my absolute favorite player, but I don't think I'll be pulling out my Thomas jersey any time soon. But with time he'll go down as a legend in this town, he stood on his head in that playoff run. Without him they wouldn't have even sniffed a chance at the cup. 8 goals allowed in 7 Stanley Cup Finals games, an all time record.

It's funny - I've felt that the two franchises are quite similar... and I don't hate the Bruins. I'd love to have half a dozen of their players on the Flyers (Chara, Lucic, Seguin, etc...)
