The thread title's pretty self-explanatory, I think. I'll go first:

(my apologies for the poor picture quality)

46 is a pretty modest number, I know, but it's a work in progress; this isn't even counting the digital stuff I have. But digital albums aren't the focus of this thread, so I'll leave those out.

Anyway, I think y'all know what to do. Have at it!

Here's my vinyl and CD collection. In case you are wondering, the vinyl is about 95% inherited from family, and about 90% of the CDs are mine. I have those six albums hanging in cases on the wall because they fit aestetically well together (except for Tea for the Tillerman, but I can't think of a better replacement.
Of the collection, regrettably Blood on the Tracks, After the Gold Rush, Surrealistic Pillow, and Piper at the Gates of Dawn are all warped and I can't play them...

I couldn't include some ones that I really like in these pictures because I'm too lazy, but I have The Queen is Dead by the Smiths, The Modern Lovers, Closer by Joy Division, all of the Beatles stuff, lots of Led Zeppelin, most Pink Floyd, Sandinista! by the Clash, and Bryter Layter by Nick Drake.

The 13th Floor Elevators is a reissue import from a few years back, and I couldn't tell you whether the Nick Drake album was original issue or a reissue from the 80s.

Indeed it is. I only have Hunting High and Low, but I like a-ha quite a bit, and plan on getting several more of their albums at some point.

Ta dah! The wonders of technology today.

My phsyical collection is pretty limited, since I only started collecting a couple years ago. I currently have about 40 CDs and 5 vinyls of my own (plus crate fulls from my Dad).

CDs nowadays, at least to me, are more of a token of a favourite album that's nice to have around - something you can hold, rather than something practical.

200 Vinyls.

150 odd Single discs.

Exactly 10,000 songs on my iPod.

I'm in the process of selling away all my cds in favor of feeding my vinyl habit. At this point I dont really differentiate my digital downloads and my cds. I carry between 12- 13 thousand songs on my ipod.

For a look at my vinyl collection please go to the chart below!
