Even though Neil does nearly all of the melody work, that doesn't mean Rachel isn't important either. With her guitar parts - even though it's nearly all strumming chords underneath indecipherable distortion - she gives the songs that extra push during the chorus. Belew is definitely an interesting guitarist, managing to get a lot of odd sounds with a guitar is pretty inventive, but it's not really my style. Vote goes to Rachel. _________________
Yeah, it's kind of hard to justify voting for Goswell in a best ever guitarist tournament when she's not even the best in her band. Love Slowdive to death and I think she's great, but it doesn't seem right, especially since someone as awesome as Adrian Belew.
