you now on each (most) page for an album you'll have a bracket called professional ratings or something similar with links to allmusic and whatnot. so how about adding to that bracket a PUBLIC RATINGS with the actual BEA rating with a link to this paradise. get to work everybody and this site will finally get loaded. of course the ratings here are floating figures, but so are say sales.

Well that would be an issue you would have to take up with wikipedia's editing staff. Not saying it's a bad idea but it would take a lot of time and it might be against wikipedia's policy.

Well yeah of course we can edit it but I mean the administrators and "wikiholics" that will change a page if it doesn't fit the set template.

I'm pretty sure we've tried to make BEA a thing on Wikipedia once or twice before, and it was ix-nayed like Cuba said. Even though anybody can edit, there's still moderators and the like that will just delete it.

I don't even think Fantano meets their requirements for validity, and he's way more popular than BEA.

I've seen him now and then, he's certainly on The Money Store's article because of his infamous 10/10 score.

But yeah, Wikipedia is much more strict than it may originally appear, the ratings on BEA are simply not reliable enough to be including, I think. You don't, for instance, see IMDB user ratings on a movie page, because it's simply too much upkeep to change it every time the rating shifts.

It's a nice idea, but I'm not sure it's practical.

Maybe it'd be possible to add a sentence of "x was voted the best ever guitarist/rapper/song/blues album/etc by the online community Best Ever Albums" but I doubt we could get ratings on.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, there was an article about BEA on Wikipedia a few years ago, but it was taken down as BEA was not deemed notable enough by the Wikipedia mods. At some point, I'm sure things will change, but in the meantime, I discourage people link-spamming any articles because that will do more harm than good in the long-term (no matter how well intentioned).
