I have the same problem with Hilltop Hoods that I have with the majority of UK hip-hop - they just don't really sound like hip-hop comes naturally to them, they sound like a cheap imitation. They sound like tourists, and I know that sounds horrible, but it just isn't very good to me. I would rather listen to any number of distinctly average US hip-hop albums than listen to Hilltop Hoods (or the majority of UK hip-hop, for that matter). Now, 93 'til Infinity is dope, if a little inconsistent, and it easily gets my vote here. It's not my favourite early Hieroglyphics records (that would be Del's I Wish My Brother George Was Here), but it's still pretty damn good.
EDIT: I know Hilltop Hoods aren't British, I just think that they have the same faults as a lot of British hip-hop artists. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

The Hard Road hasn't got much for me. Souls of Mischief it is.

Is the hard road available on grooveshark or some other service (or a download link or sth) because I couldn't find it on spotify on the group's page, but I listened to some of the other stuff it released on other albums and the songs are pretty fun. Of course, it'll take more than fun to beat one of the chillest albums of all time. (93 til infinity)

93 Til Infinity is honestly what got me into hip hop. Not gonna lie. One of my favorites, I gotta go with that. _________________

Must be that it's not in the US. I'm not seeing it either.
93 'til Infinity is gonna be tough to beat here, and what little I've heard so far form The Hard Road doesn't really stand a chance. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Hard Road has some pretty fun beats, but the MCing is just too cringe-worthy - some really irritating lines and rhymes.
93 'til Infinity has a pretty solid place on my overall chart, and remains one of my favourite Hip Hop records purely for it's youthful attitude and some of the best bass lines on any album. 'Anything Can Happen' might just be in my top 10 Hip Hop songs.
Sorry Hilltop Hoods, but Souls of Mischief win hands down here.

Pretty much this. Wasn't familiar with Hilltop Hoods, and frankly I don't think I was missing much. Wouldn't mind an instrumental version of this same album...
So yeah this one goes to Souls of Mischief
