#RIPpurple. One of maybe only two dozen albums that I own on CD and vinyl. Was out record shopping a week or two ago and saw this in the 'dance' section; made me chuckle. I've been reading Simon Reynolds' tome about "rave music and dance culture", Energy Flash, for a few months now (it's fucking massive, and the sections about "darkside" were a bit of a struggle), but just a few days ago I got onto the chapter on mid-'90s "intelligent techno" (an evolution from the clumsily named "electronic listening music"), and he rightfully proclaimed this record to be pretty much the apex of the rather malleable genre, in much better words than I could ever muster. All I know is that if you've never listened to 'Do While' on acid then you haven't lived.
