Thanks for all the feedback. Rather than address it on my chart, I thought I would address it here.

There is a proven an irrefutable link between music and personality. I am a rock and roll guy...through and through. I move around a lot, and my first option for meeting new people is rock shows. Rock and roll people are my kind of people.

I like other kinds of music, too. But I obviously have a bias towards rock. I love Leonard Cohen...but I have to say as awesome as it was to see him live...it was a very lame social experience.

And if you love rock.....1964-74 is the BEST period for music. So....the top half of my chart is rather classic rock heavy. I'm OK with that.

But...I listen to a lot of other stuff as well. Much of it just doesn't appear on my chart because we are only allowed 100 favourite albums. Which I think is fine.

For newer stuff...these days I mostly listen to indie rock, metal and world music. I love metal because it is such...unifying music. It brings people together. World music because I've travelled quite a bit, and I have enjoyed discovering the music of different countries. And indie rock because...well...sorry if if this offends anyone...but it seems to me that if you want to get played on FM radio these days....you have to suck. Or be a classic rock band that really doesn't need the airplay anyway. I don't HATE most of these bands...but I don't really like them, either. I find the best current music through following the press on the SXSW festival.

My decade and year charts have some tips on this sort of thing if anyone is interested.

Thanks again for all the feedback.

I LOVE this chart! Lots of kickass metal, hard rock, and Nomeansno's Small Parts - one of my favorite hardcore albums!!!! Plenty of Kinks too, probably my favorite 60s band.

Will have to check out The Northern Pikes and Joyside...

Lots of classics, lots of rock and roll. Not a bad chart, that's for sure.
