This has some of their most experimental and oddest songs on here - which is also saying that it has some of their best songs on here. I love it. _________________

I've only heard it once all the way through. And I remember pretty well loving it. But I wasn't at that time super in the mood. Now that I've spent the entire last week listening to S&E and CR,CR I think I am ready to fully jump into this beauty. But yeah, it's cool. Stephen Malkmus is like a better cooler version of Lou Reed. I mean, they both were cooler than cool and clearly Malkmus took a lot from Reed, but I connect with Malkmus more. Like when I hear him I feel like I am listening to a representation of myself most of the time - sort of a annoyed, snide, pissed off internally but externally bored dude. He's one of those people that just resonates with me. One of the best vocalists ever. _________________ -Ryan

If we did a Pavement ranking, it'd be hard choosing between this album and Terror Twilight.
I'm weird.

I used to think otherwise, but am now convinced this is Pavement's best. Which, considering how much I love the first two, says a lot.

This. "Grounded" and "Kennel District" are some of the best rock songs of the 90s and experiments like "Father to a Sister of Thought" are great as well.
