Unless I'm missing something, I haven't seen a thread for this year's music festivals anywhere. So... is anyone attending / hoping to attend anything this year?

I'm almost certainly going to Dekmantel in Amsterdam. Acts on the lineup I'm particularly looking forward to include Roy Ayers, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Actress, John Talabot, Shackleton, Four Tet, Carl Craig, Madlib, Jeff Mills, Donato Dozzy. Also considering getting a ticket for the separate opening event, which features Autechre, and Manuel Göttsching (doing E2-E4 live in its entirety). Beyond that, I don't really know if I'll bother with any other festivals. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

I'm probably going to Rock Werchter in Belgium.
They don't have as good a line up as last year, but there are still good bands like muse and the foo fighters and the war on drugs, among others.

Gonna go to Austin Psych Fest this year, and then try to catch Kode9 at SXSW; ACL (likely a no go) and FunFunFunFesy (likely a go) haven't announced their lineups yet. Most psyched to see 13th Floor Elevators, Jesus and the Mary Chain, Thee Oh Sees, Lightning Bolt, Earth, The Soft Moon, and Follakzoid at psych fest.

going to sled island again this year (with nech) full line wont be announced for a while but they brought in Godspeed You! Black Emperor as guest curators this year so they might build a pretty interesting lineup.
hoping their fiances have recovered since last year and no band bail because of lack of pay _________________ Alt Right meme game on point

Coachella's way too expensive, so I'm just crossing my fingers Brand New ends up at Outside Lands or Treasure Island since they announced all their west coast tour dates and there's no San Fran, San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, or anywhere else I could see them. Treasure Island tickets are usually pretty cheap so I could get those even with a bad lineup + Brand New, Outside Lands'll be more pricy so there would have to be other people I'd wanna see.
EDIT: It just occurred to me, I'll probably actually be in college by Treasure Island, whoops. Really did think that was in summer, not October, for some reason. Well ... here's hoping for Oustide Lands ... _________________

Course they have their first good lineup right as I leave.
Anyone still in the Bay Area, it's $95 (or $180 VIP if you're into that) for the following:
The National
CHVRCHES
War On Drugs
Father John Misty
Panda Bear
Jose Gonzalez
Deerhunter
Drive Like Jehu
Viet Cong
Ought
and 2 other things I don't care about. _________________
