Solid, semi-underrated album. Definitely a bit of a step-up in terms of songwriting and production from Outlandos d'Amour.
Track picks
1. Message In A Bottle
4. Bring On The Night
5. Deathwish
6. Walking On The Moon _________________ Inversion Verses

This was the album that convinced me The Police were among the greatest rock acts of all time. This is their best album in my mind, closely followed by Zenyatta Mondatta. Favorite tracks are Bring on the Night, It's Alright For You, On Any Other Day, and The Bed's Too Big Without You. _________________ on such a winter's day

A brilliant singles band but never really made a classic or great album in my opinion.

My dad was always playing this when I was a little kid, so these songs are practically part of my DNA. Bring on the Night is definitely my favourite thing on here, though the whole album is great.

Mostly solid. It doesn't entertain me as much as one of my favorite albums, "Synchronicity."

Walking on the Moon is a little slow and monotonous for my taste. It's a good song, but not one of my favorites.

This is not quite the masterpiece that is Synchronicity, but it's still a pretty darn good album. It sees the trio truly develop their own style after the predominantly new wave Outlandos D'Amor, but retains much of that album's youthful, exuberant attitude, before their more overtly political material of the 80s.
Right now, it just misses my top 100 albums, behind Outlandos, Zenyatta, and Synchronicity, but higher than Ghost in the Machine. "Message in a Bottle" and "Walking on the Moon" are two of my absolute favorite songs the group has ever done.
