Anyone else not a fan of this guy?

I don't watch Idol (it kills too many brain cells, plus the music sucks 99.9% of the time), but with all these hot girls I know talking about marrying him on Twitter, I'm starting to get a bit frustrated with this guy.

Did he ever talk about his influences? Because he seems like the type of guy who considers Justin Bieber to be the future of music, not Yuck or Arcade Fire.

What do you guys think of him?

He's a 16 year old kid who actually looks more like Alfred E. Neumann from Mad Magazine than anything else. His influences actually run mainstream country (George Strait). He seems to really not be a Bieberbe. His age and the fact that he can hit those big warm fuzzy country bass notes with ease kept him at or near the top the entire season. He seems to have a pretty even disposition, which kept anyone from actually hating him. He'll have a sizeable career on the main pop country charts, because housewives and teenage girl country fans are going to devour everything he releases. And not one of his albums will ever come close to sniffing the main chart on this site.
