Just a thought. What if an automated email was sent to users whose accounts have not had a login for a certain amount of time...six months? A year? Just a friendly reminder that we haven't seen them for a while, we miss them, and that BEA is still here for them to update charts and to interract with other music lovers.

It might not be hugely effective numbers wise, but if it brings back even a couple of users, it would certainly be worthwhile.

Nice idea, really like it. A lot of people don't appreciate unsolicited mail, so there'd have to be some of type of mechanism to allow users to not receive further notifications.
