Anyway, my first thought was definitely no new music, because I thought about some of my favorite albums and how much it would crush me if I could never listen to them again.
But at the end of the day that is just one small slice of the pie. It would suck not being able to listen to my current favorites anymore, but with as much music that's out there I'd still never be in a situation where there was no great music I could listen to.
This was my first thought. In either event, 66,798,298 albums against 100 albums on a list that could easily be 100 totally different albums. It's not really a contest. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
Yeah, no kidding, I think all of a sudden I really get Definitely Maybe.
In seriousness though, as absolutely gutted as I would be to lose the ability to listen to all my favorites and what not, I would be far more gutted to never have a fresh experience with an album again. Other albums could fill the void left by losing my top 100 albums, but nothing could fill the void of never hearing anything new again.
As much of a relationship as I have with each album in my top 100, as much time and effort I have put into it, and as crushing as it would be to leave them, I have a feeling I could do it over again. Plus, there are so many albums outside of 100 that I LOVE, that I'll have a few gems to pacify me. _________________ Inversion Verses
