Anyone else love this guy?

He may be my new favorite director ever. Not only did he make my favorite movie ever (Persona), but he also made The Seventh Seal and The Silence.

I liked Smultronstället a lot the second time around, didn't care too much for Det Sjunde Inseglet. Also seen Persona, but it was a while ago... Did like it back then, though. Um... So that's it. Any recommendations?

Shame, Fanny and Alexander and Scenes from a Marriage are all excellent... and probably a good place to start with Bergman. Cries and Whispers too, but it is very, very... fussy

Love Bergman. He was post-punk before punk.

The Virgin Spring (1960) is a movie that I watch every Easter. Starring Max von Sydow, who later starred in the Hollywood Jesus d'oh! .
