Here's a game me and my brothers used to play on long car drives. The rules are simple, but it's up to the posters to keep the difficulty level right. Anyone trying to show off with their weird music taste is likely to kill the game.

Post the lyrics to a song, as long or short as you want, and stop right before the title of the song appears. The one who names the song (and the artist) wins. Now, the lyrics that begin right after you stop the quotation have to be the title of the song. An example:

Clue:
"Cause tramps like us, baby we were...."

Answer:
"Born to Run (Bruce Springsteen)"

Sure, and though noone will ever catch them at doing it they will know themselves how big losers they are when the only way they can seem important is by cheating at a game on a message board in front of people they will most likely never meet in their lives and who don't give a shit how many lyrics they know or don't know. But yeah, that'll probably happen. Let's close this one down.

no I don't think close it down, just like for the BEA Playoffs Ive gotta trust people not to create dummy accounts (dear god i've been so tempted to do so for Kanye) I think generally people are fairly honest and don't want to ruin the fun of things (and like you said how pathetic would it be to do so?). the only thing I would say is isn't limiting it to just songs with the song title in the lyric are bit well...limiting?

Sure....cuts it down to a few hundred thousand to choose from. We'd probably run out pretty fast.

EDIT: I was just saying how we used to play it in the car, and I guess part of the fun was to sing the answer, which only works when the title of the song follows directly after the lyrics that are quoted.
