The Doors. I don't really care for either record all that much though. Morisson Hotel is better, but I still am not a huge doors fan. _________________ And I stare at the sun.

I like both, but personally prefer The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. However, my favourite song from both records is The End. _________________ And If a Double Decker Bus, Crashes into us...
The Doors! Not only technically appealing (with Morrison's vocals, and Ray's keyboards,) but also very edgy! Overall sound is fantastic with no songs that need skipping.
The Piper at the Gates of Dawn; however, has it's moments, but a lot of it is a drag to get to the good songs. It has an amazing psychedelic instrumental though!
I finally voted and I voted for Piper. Some Doors songs I used to find amazing, I now find them kind of pretentious. I'm wondering though, besides being released in 1967, what do these two albums have in common? Are the early Doors considered psychedelic? Maybe that works. Oh, I know what it is; I used to listen to both these albums stoned a lot and they both sounded great under the influence. Is that the connection?
