Is it just me or have there been a surge in best 90s album polls recently?
It is not the polls that are wrong it's the whole concept that is. Best and 90s don't work well in the same sentence.

Live - Throwing Copper
Pearl Jam - Ten
Soul Asylum - Grave Dancers Union and Let Your Dim Light Shine
Oasis - Definitely Maybe and What's The Story (Morning Glory)?
Radiohead - The Bends
R.E.M. - Out of Time
That's beside the fact of all the lesser known albums that were nonetheless excellent and in my opinion, in some cases, superior.
