Maybe it's just that I'm an immature kid with ADD, but I've realized that I've said a lot of really dumb things about music. I thought I'd share some of my dumbest statements, and ask you guys to share yours.

Now guys, I know a lot of these are really dumb, but look at the dates; most of these were when I was really young.

Late 2006, when my brother got MoP at the store, and I was in 6th grade:
Quote:
I dunno, George; I only like music when other people know about it.

(Facepalm)

Mid-2008, when talking to a friend about double albums:
Quote:
If you just give it a chance, you'll find that Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus is just as good of a double album as the Wall

Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall

Early 2009, when talking to said friend about nineties music:
Quote:
I dunno, man; the only good nineties album out there is The Fragile by NIN. At least the eighties had Iron Maiden, Metallica, and MJ.

Liar Liar Liar Liar Liar Liar Liar Liar Liar

Mid-2010, when talking about POD's Satellite:
Quote:
This is one of the best metal albums ever, and definitely the best rap album.

________
So yeah, I say a LOT of dumb things. Have you said anything nearly as dumb about music?

meh, I went through a Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock stage before double digits. I don't think I made any claims about their 'greatness' though

some may say my claim that Royal Trux-Twin Infinitives is over-rated may be retarded, but I claim that the fact that it shows up on one best-ever chart means it's over-rated (for people wondering why I always refer to this album, just know I'd rather listen to MMM any day)

I call alot of things 'pure pop gold' that usually aren't: Can, Velvet Underground, etc. Partly because I actually think this and partly just to get friends to listen to them

i thought that jimi Hendrix's music didn't worth a penny. Pray .... forgive me god hendrix.

2001 by Dre was going to stay as my favorite album ever (it's still in my chart though)

Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys was great bands, making remarkable music .... Confused

Bob Dylan does a very bad music for old people, and is one of the worst artist ever.

Punk is rubbish, and it's not even music Anxious

Probably that the Beatles were overall a shitty band, during my rebellious "all of your gods are false" phase when I was 16 or 17.

"I'll eventually upgrade all of my cassettes to CD."

I said that way back around 1993. I still have a LOT of cassettes that I simply cannot find on CD and/or can't afford the CD copy. I'm not planning on converting my stuff to MP3. Sorry...MP3 files lose a lot quality. FLAC is great, though.

I used to think that raves were the only live acts worth seeing. I always heard about these great live bands such as Queen and U2, so I looked up concert of them and thought "The fuck is this? Wheres the lights, lasers, insane dancing, and pyrotechnics!?". Yeah I was one stupid 8 year old.
