What songs would you swear on your grandmother's grave was actually by somebody else? It sounds so much like someone else you can't fuckin get over it. Some of these are vocal sound-alikes and some are Musical sound-alikes:

Knew most of these and they're alright but man this sounded just like Bruce, I'm a big Bruce fan but I could easily be fooled by this. Amazing stuff. _________________ All time

Dedicated Bruce hater here. But I really dig the show tune there. Don't know why, because it is a dead ringer for Bruce,
The America song like Neil Young??? Not a chance. America actually sing through their mouths, unlike Neil who seems incapable of uttering a single syllable through anything but his nose. There's absolutely no way one could mistake America's harmonies for Neil's uber-nasal whine.
One hit wonder Ali Thompson's "Take a Little Rhythm" had most people convinced it was Paul McCartney until they were proven otherwise as indeed it sounded just like Paul of that era (1980). Many a bet was lost on this one.

Idk. Everybody I've ever talked to who's heard that song said the same thing I did; "I thought it was Neil Young when I first heard it". Lol
When I heard Edwyn Collins' "A Girl Like You," I thought I was listening to a new David Bowie release.
Badfinger's "Come and Get It" sounds exactly like the Beatles.
Meredith Brook's "Bitch" sounds a lot like Alanis Morissette
"Beautiful In My Eyes" by Joshua Kadison sounds like Elton John
"Can't Get It Out of My Head" by E.L.O. sounds very much like a John Lennon tune.
...and, although I can't really count this one because I first saw him the very first time I heard him, Michael Fitzpatrick of Fitz and the Tantrums sounds VERY MUCH like Daryl Hall. Go listen. Seriously! It's uncanny.
(By the way, this question is lost on anybody who is under 30, I think. Back in the old days, our radios didn't show us the names of the songs and artists. We all had to wait for a DJ to come on the air and tell us what we were listening to. lol) _________________ Speakers of the House DJ

First time I heard Gensis' Follow You Follow Me, I though it was the latest from Seals & Crofts. It bore such a strong resemblance to their last hit "Get Closer"
