The object of this game is simple. You can participate as a group of friends, or you can play with just yourself. The idea is to fill the slots of a band using one member from a band. There are a few rules and guidelines to challenge yourself: you can only choose one person per band, if you're try to make the game more difficult assign yourself a time frame your band has to be from, and if you really want it to be difficult assign a time frame and a genre your band must be from, and a last difficulty addition is adding alternative positions to your band, for instance, lead vocals, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drums, (keyboard, lyricist, music choreographer, producer). This really is a blast and it's a good way to think about band's sounds and the music each member brings

An example:
1970s
Vocals: Ronnie James Dio /Rainbow
Lead: jimmy page/ Led Zeppelin
Rhythm: Malcolm young/ AC/DC
Bass: John entwisle/ The Who
Drums: ginger baker/ blind faith
Keys: Jon lorde/deep purple

It's a cool idea...but Brian Jones died in 1969.

Thank you for pointing that out! But I believe it's your turn to make a group!

Here's my 70s era fantasy band lineup:

Vocals- Iggy Pop (Stooges)
Lead- Tom Scholz (Boston)
Rhythm- Alex Lifeson (Rush)
Bass- Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath)
Drums- Alex Van Halen (Van Halen)

Tried to follow your rules and not pick anyone from bands you already selected
