  • Post subject: Who recommends me Indie Rock albums?
  • Quote
Thats it: I'm in a "indie rock phase". I've been really enjoying Slanted & Enchanted, Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Loveless (although its not indie), In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, Boxer ( 👏 ), Spiderland, The Suburbs... plus I really like The Strokes.

would anyone recommend me more Indie rock albums?
thank you very much.

Sounds like a pretty broad definition of indie rock, so check out everything by Sonic Youth, Flaming Lips, and I personally recommend Deerhoof as one of the most fun indie rock bands in existence.

I'm almost positive Iron Maiden is one of the most indie bands ever.

Indie stuff is my lane 😎 I see you have Pavement, The National, Arcade Fire, etc... all the big ones, which is good to see 😄 The only big ones your missing seems to be The Pixies & Elliott Smith, but I'm sure you've heard of them.

Metric - Fantasies (2009)
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (2009)
The Antlers - Hospice (2009)
Microphones - The Glow Pt. II (2001)

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning (2005)
Unicorns - Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone? (2003)
Violent Femmes - Violent Femms (1982)
Eels - Beautiful Freak (1996)
...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Source Tags & Codes (2002)
Galaxie 500 - On Fire (1989)
Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothinf Turned Itself Inside Out (2000)
Built To Spill - Perfect From now On (1997)
Destroyer - Kaputt (2010)
Deerhunter - Mircocastle (2007)
Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Like Bad News (2004)
Belle & Sebatian - If You're Feeling Sinister (1996)
Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy (2005)
Iron & Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days (2004)
The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I (1999)
Cat Power - The Greatest (2005)
Zutons - Who Killed The Zutons? (2004)
Los Hermanos - Ventura (2003) (Portuguese)
Menomena - Mines (2010)
Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid (2009)
Grandaddy - The Sophtware Slump (2001)
Tame Impala - Innerspeaker (2010)
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain (2006)

Sorry if some of my years are wrong, i tried my best 🤣
