  • Post subject: Starting a thread for each and every year. Bad idea?

As many of us seem to explore and work on charts on a year by year basis, it would make sense to have one location to discuss and seek recommendations for a given year.

If I were to start threads in the music forum ie. 1960; 1961; 1962 etc. you'd end up with 60+ threads, which might clog things up a bit and/or annoy people. Would it be feasible, or even a good idea to have a sub-forum that does what I'm suggesting? Perhaps it would have a fixed number of threads to reflect the years represented on BEA.

Hi rkm, we normally pin the current year in the Music forum as a sticky to enable people to have quick access. I'll do this now.

I thought repo's 1991 thread went well, probably because of the small scope and how long he allowed/is allowing users to post before moving on (vs. AAL's threads which were posted in relatively quick succession and had significantly larger scopes (too much for me to handle)). Considering that the forums could use a boost, and that a couple users just vomit threads for whatever comes to their mind anyway, I think this would be fine.

Probably best just to let these year threads naturally occur from time to time like this.
