At least half of these songs are as great as anything she ever did. I think at one time it was my favorite. It's not anymore, but it's still pretty great. Heh heh.

This is the first Joni Mitchell album I've listened to, and it's easy to see why she is such an acclaimed artist after listening to it. It's easy to get lost in the atmosphere in this album, and it's definitely a worthwhile listen.

Don't stop with this album. There's about 10 more that are great also. Namely, all of her 1970s albums. There's a few more too, but those are the ones you need to hear. She's one of a handful of writers whose lyrics were almost the equal of her music. In my opinion, she's the only writer whoever wrote lyrics that are worth reading.

Make friends with this record, and it will love you back, particularly on bleak wintery days.

Joni Mitchell is one of those people that I never got in to when I was discovering music, so she's always been nothing special to me. :/
