Thoughts on the nominees? Who doesn't deserve it, who does, who got snubbed, etc.
Personally after seeing the standings of the fan vote, I was very disappointed. Stevie Nicks and Def Leppard most certainly are not the two most deserving there by a landslide (sorry), in fact I wouldn't even put them in the better half.
On another note, Sonic Youth, the Pixies, the Smiths, and countless other 80s Indie superstars have been disincluded yet again, to no surprise of my own. There are plenty of other bands from other genres they're leaving out too, but listing them all would take too long.
Of the nominees I'm in favor of, Radiohead, Rage, MC5 and The Cure personally stick out to me the most.
Edit: On a side-note, the Rock Hall has no credibility at all anymore to me, but it's still worth discussing.
EDIT 2: Most deserving, however? Kraftwerk, Janet, LL/RATM, that order. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

They've been inducting five per year for a while now. Out of this group, I would say the most deserving are:
- The Cure
- Janet Jackson
- Kraftwerk
- Radiohead
- Roxy Music
Agreed, the hall of fame is trash, like pretty much every hall of fame. The decision to induct Ringo for his solo work before even considering many of the aforementioned snubs says it all.
I bet BEA users could make a much better hall of fame than "600 rock experts". Would that interest anyone? If we did it though, it should probably be open to all artists, not just those within the nebulously-defined genre of rock. _________________ Join us in the canon game :) / Add me on RYM

Is it though?
I've always been lost as to why people care about this so much.
I dunno... umm... MC5 I suppose. And Radiohead...and... Kraftwerk? As much as I love Odyssey & Oracle, The Zombies are practically up there for a single album. Janet Jackson and Stevie Nicks is already inducted, so that just feels silly. Toss Roxy Music in there I suppose, that'd be cool. And The Cure are far too cool to be in it.
Mind you, the last 5-6 years have been a trainwreck of inductees, so whatever. It'll probably be Rufus and Def Leppard. Maybe Devo.
EDIT: Christ, is Nick Cave not in this thing? _________________ Doubles & Conch

With the possible exception of Radiohead, there's not a one on the list who should be ahead of these longstanding snubs:
.
I don't agree.
Bryan Ferry is an exceptionally talented musician and with Roxy Music, they have created some amazing music.
Although, I care even less if he makes into the Hall; his efforts should not be diminished.
