Allright this will be the last match for awhile, will leave this up through late monday/early tuesday since I know we're likely to get less traffic during the weekend
Girlfriend is a groovy song from a somewhat overrated album. Hold Me Down is a generic, commercial but vaguely indie sadboy pop song that has been remixed with annoying, generic electronic elements. Easy choice. _________________ Join us in the canon game / Add me on RYM
Yeah Christine and the Queens underwhelmed a bit this year, a lyrically strong but somewhat musically inert set of songs, and while I'm usually an easy lay for any Dam-Funk beat this was merely just slightly more alive than the rest (and wayyyyyy too 80s even these days of 80s fetishism). And for reasons obvious I'm just go ahead and give myself a gag order for talking about the Family of the Year song.
hold me down sounds like every middling electropop-made-in-a-garage circa 2005 to me, so i'm gonna have to go with the dam funk feature tho i'm not exactly in love with it
Me Down by Family of the year...
At least 4 or 6 songs from the album Chris would have easily got my vote here. But Girlfriend is the one I like least (not to say that I do not like it at all ...). So my vote goes here (by default) to a song that I do not really like but which repels me less: Hold Me Down by Family of the year ...
