If 'He's On Time' had come up against something that isn't infernally irritating in either of its matches, I'd likely have voted against it. It's fun, but also super regressive. However, it's still extremely listenable, which is more than can be said for its opponents thus far.

Unenthusiastic vote to 'He's On Time'.

So this may not be Harlem's most original or inspired work, but it's still the easy choice here.

+2

I actually like the retro aspects of "He's On Time" and see nothing wrong with it if it's done well and the song is great. Which is certainly the case here. I only have a problem with retro acts when they are a pale imitation of the original and lack inspiration. If this is the style of music you love, well you should go out and make it. Play and create the sounds you love. Better then trying to create the sound of "now" whatever that may be when it's not you.
🤔

Definitely an interesting topic and I can see where others r coming from in arguing the other side. Of course in this matchup it doesn't even matter. lol.

Yeah "He's On Time" is just a rousing foot-stomper of a gospel standard, standard yes but proves to be quite timeless. Given there are a number of songs I would've rather gone for but against "Gypsy Fairie Queen" (a true winner-by-default that would've seemed dated back in the days of Broken English) it's an easy decision.
