I think it's off to a pretty good start, but for entirely different reasons as you give.
Either way, theres a long way to go and plenty of catching up to do relative to the best years so far.

I've listened to about five albums released this year so the fuck if I know if it's good or bad, but maybe wait till at least december before we make comprehensive proclamations? (the fuck why am I talking like NPR radio)
