I joined recently, and was having trouble finding a few artist that I listen to on the site. I wanted to know if it's currently possible for users to add artist, albums, tracks to the site if they don't already exist here? also if it it possible could some one please explain how I would go about adding new artist, as well as their albums, tracks etc to the site?

Yes, it is easy to add albums to the website, just type in the artist and album that you are adding and then after you submit the chart you will be able to add in the tracks and album cover.
