Has anyone seen this trailer? What a bizarre concept for a movie. Points for originality, I guess.

People seem very interested (someone posted the trailer yesterday in a subreddit), and indeed it seems very promising.
PS: there was a recent french movie with a similar story: a fan of Johnny Halliday (very famous in France), has an accident, wakes up in a parallel world where Johnny is not a star (because of a missed opportunity in his very early career, in favor of a much less talented guy, now famous) and help him to come back.

Though thread titles can't be held to high standards, calling this a Beatles movie is a little misleading. If anything, it's a Beatles-absence movie! (Perhaps calling it a movie about the Beatles' music would've been more apt). I'm not a fan of Danny Boyle, but once in a while he turns out something pretty good and at least this doesn't seem to have a lot of opportunity for his showy direction. Intriguing premise for music fans like us: I'll go see it if the reviews aren't too bad.

It seems like one of those movies that the trailer was the movie. Going to see the movie likely would be a waste of time. Ok concept, but mostly fluff. The concept in of itself is interesting, but an entire movie dedicated to it. It did seem that they alluded to some kind of conspiracy.

Anyway interesting there's an entire movie dedicated to "the world's greatest songwriters" (as the movie puts it... paraphrasing of course), and then there's Scaruffi. Aesthetics is an interesting topic to say the least.

Yeah, saw it last week, I'm in much the same boat I imagine, didn't have much expectations if I'm honest but was surprised by how much I enjoyed it in the end.

I saw this movie today. I enjoyed it. Lead character was believable and had a good singing voice.
He was particularly good at Back In The USSR. Whole movie was good.
