I looked through the forums to see if this poll has been done before, and I couldn't find anything, so if it has, sorry about that!

Anyways, is there a general consensus on this site, or is it more mixed? And this is between the two cover arts and 'When It Started' vs. 'New York City Cops.' Personally, I prefer the US version in both regards - the vibrant blue and orange of the US cover is more appealing to me than the risque UK version, and though I like them about equally (and less than every other song on the album besides 'Trying Your Luck'), I feel 'When It Started' fits better with the other songs and the overall mood of the album than 'New York City Cops.'

Edit: The third option of the poll is supposed to be "US Cover and UK Songs." Thanks CA Dreamin for the correction!

Mod: Changed the 3rd poll option for you. Too many varieties. JD

As far as I know, most people lean toward UK on both counts. But I agree with you on both.

'NYC Cops' is unbeatable. Both covers are hideous.

UK cover is one of the most iconic covers of the 21st century.

Couldn't argue with that. I honestly had no idea there was a different cover for US. Just seen it. Weird.

US cover is just so ordinary and unremarkable. I feel that the UK cover pirctures the essence of The Strokes while also being very visually pleasing.

Yes. The US cover is very bland and really has nothing to do with the band style, and music. It looks as if they (or a guy in the record company) chose randomly a picture in an online catalogue...

it may be "iconic", but i think the original cover is kind of tacky. it looks too much like a record i'd expect find in walmart.
