Great album; I'd say it's Rush's 4th best. The title track is astounding, albeit not especially cohesive. The remainder is even stronger, in my opinion, particularly Passage to Bangkok, Tears, and Something for Nothing. Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
This is my brother George's favorite album of all time. I remember when we used to listen to this twice a week on our way to church, but for some reason, we just never got past the first track I was in fifth grade at the time, my brother in eighth, and we were both just getting into music.
But yeah, it's certainly an extraordinary album, despite how it influenced bands like Symphony X.
Passage to Bangkok will always be one of my favorite songs, although the live version on Chronicles is better in my opinion -- especially that amazing guitar solo! _________________ My voodoo master, my machine, baby, will not stand in line...
