What a strained awkward lyric! And that's not the only one!
I don't think you're going about it the right way. You're right in the sense there's some strained lyrics, but it's done in a way showcasing skill. Poets do the same.
I'm still of the opinion Jesus of Suburbia should cap out around 5/6-minutes. I know it loses some grandeur, but the track in it's entirety is tiring.

And yeah, not even close.
Since rap doesn't have much in the way of singing, and the beats are generally maddeningly repetitive, the lyrics have to be pretty damn clever to compensate. Fair or unfair, I do put more emphasis on lyrics in rap than in other genres.

Okay, sure, if that's your thing, but that wasn't really my point. I thought you were criticizing the flow

Not sure why you'd draw that conclusion. As I said, despite my criticism of the lyric itself, I still voted for it here. So I must have liked something--if it wasn't the words or the singing or the melody, it must have been the flow. I guess it was my use of the word "awkward?" I meant awkward with regard to the use of language, not how the syllables flow.
