When I'm 'Ere will light up the darnce. All My Friends will cause tears in alcopops. When I'm 'Ere is the sound of collaboration. All My Friends is megalomaniacal dictatorship. When I'm 'Ere is oppressed youths teeming with progressive ideas that most white people still do not understand to this day. All My Friends takes ideas already hatched by geniuses like Sumner and Bowie and Costello to their logical endpoint. When I'm 'Ere is the pirates, the serfs, the duppy conquerors. All My Friends is the petty bourgeoisie.
Vote for something that's still, fifteen years later, new and different - even in the face of excellent competition. Grime is, to my mind, the single most exciting musical movement to have come out of the 2000s, and When I'm 'Ere is not only its spirit, its definition, its best example, but also its only representative (how?) in a tournament full of white people doing white people things. Vote for the Eskimo Sound, not the albedo effect. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
Yeah maybe I'm just a contrarian asshole but I really prefer When I'm ere, that opening in particular is fucking fire. Has a tough matchup but def a great discovery regardless, thanks Lethal
Sorry Skinny, I’m going for the petty bourgeoisie. I’m not a big fan of lcd soundsystem but the flow on this track is relentless and the Roll Deep track was not really my thing.
