So as above in the poll, decide which is best for the site and for me to run.
I know the movie soundtrack tourney is also running and I don't want to step on ShaneSpear's cyber-shoes; however I would like to run something during November.
I will have the poll open for 3 days.

I voted for best artist tournament.
But we have already been there and done that

So this thread will be just for what it says obviously. I will be repeating myself a lot from the last thread, but hey.
The Rules are simple:
1. A Poll is created as a match versing off 2 artists in 1 group.
2. You vote for which artist you prefer
3. A Match will run on average for 3 days unless there aren't enough votes (at least 8 ) in which case will run until the minimum amount of votes is reached.
4. The Artist with the most points wins the match
5. Draws are okay
6. 20 Points for a win, 10 Points for a draw and 0 Points for a loss
7. The 2 teams with the most points in each group at the end will go through to the elimination game.
8. In the case of a draw at the end of all matches: I will be recording exactly how many votes each Artist gets so point difference will decide that one.
I think thats it but as the title suggest please ask any Q's.
1 thing: In regards to Artists that got more than 1 pick in the nomination round do people think it's fair to give them some kind of bonus like 1 extra point or is it better to leave it just as is? I ask because it's quite significant being chosen more than once as a favourite artist. So thoughts on that are appreciated.
1 more thing: I don't think anyone will, but in the case of dummy accounts I think our only option is the honour policy. I mean it's just a game so If you are thinking of doing that it's kinda...well, shit.
EDIT: I have increased the amount of points for wins and draws purely for the sake of impact.
And it just ended about 4 months ago
at 9pm(+8 GMT) 22/06/2011 the winner of the 2011 BEA best Band Not in the top 20 ranked bands tournament is....

I did like that Tourney as the group states Idea was. um good
Anyway I liked it

There are several Aussie bands that I like.
But do you think that there are 64 of them that are great artists and have a chance of winning?

That is a good point Gary
I was looking though the Australian artists on the BEA database and whist I don't listen to a lot of Australian music I could only find 9 artists that I like
Still this would be a good way to find out some new music 😄
just don't expect me to enter anything into the tourney if I miss the obvious choices

Ah memories....I forget who won that tournament though
For this one I voted for Albums.
Also, I'm not sure how everyone feels but I don't actually have a massive problem with two tournaments running at the same time and I think it could be something we could do more often in the future - now we're all used to the tournament format. I know there was a bit of an uproar when itsit started his tournament before mine finished (and I think I even mentioned back then I didn't mind two running at the same time) but I don't thik there'll be confusion as long as people prefix their matches properly (e.g. Shane has "MST"). So yeah maybe that's something else to put to the vote.

For example Charmaine is the #61 ranked Aussie band on BEA.
Charmaine has ONE album (Love Reality) and only ONE person has the album on their chart 😲

I persoanlly don't think it would have to be 64 if we went that way, it could be 32 - but that's up to harkan.
