Killing Joke - I can see tomorrow, hear the pandemonium.

Christina Aguilera- Beautiful
I am beautiful
No matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I heard...
I am beautiful
No matter what they say
A worm can bring me down
-When I was a child I thought this was a song about being extremely weak, so weak that a worm could bump into the person in question and knock them to the ground. I thought this was really funny, and one time when I was riding in my dad's truck and this song was playing I explained why I thought the song was so funny and we shared a good laugh together.

i've probably misheard just about everything thom yorke has ever sung, but my favorite is from wolf at the door:
misheard: take it where the lovers give it
actual: take it with the love it's given _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

There are a lot of these for me, but one that's fresh in my mind because I listened to it last night is Red House Painters' "Medicine Bottle," where I heard:
"I didn't know you then, as well as you loved me"
But the actual lyric is:
"I didn't know you then, as well as you of me"
I like what I originally heard better because I think it establishes the disconnect between the narrator and his lover more. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. And it's harder as anything else.

Icky Thump by The White Stripes
"Left alone I hit myself with a stone, went home, and learned how to clean up after myself"
I always knew what the actual lyrics are, but every time I heard that line I thought it sounded like
"Left alone I hit myself with a stone, went home, and learned how to clean a bathroom myself"
