I have done Nanowrimo the last 3 years but have got too much stuff going on at home this year, so I am giving it a miss this time round.

I will be doing SocNoc again in June though (which is a very similar thing!)

50000 words in a month is in practice a lot easier than it sounds in theory. It is about 2000 words a day which is about 4 or 5 pages in word.

I loved doing it but don't have the time this year.

Jack you will have a great time - what are you going to write about (or what are you writing about because you should have started by now)?

I did a great deal of writing in college, have writte songs and poems and a couple books.

But I have never written a novel for I just don't think that I can 🙁

One must be able to create and build characters that evoke emotion and interest.

It would be cool if people would post some of their writings in this thread 🤔

That's what I'm saying outlaw.

We really don't see anything from anybody on this site.

We don't have a clue what each other even look like 😲

All I was trying to say is that writing a NOVEL IMO is a whole different ball game compared to songs and poems.

I was thinking it might be cool if we all wrote something together with people adding their own lines to it until we had a complete work 🤔

O well, not gonna happen. 🙁
