The final round has come upon us, and it is exactly as painful as you would have guessed. First, here's the two who were tragically knocked out:

Nick Cave
Which leaves the final matchup...

I have to go with Joni here. But im happy that it came to these two because they're truly the best songwriters of all time. If Cohen pulls through it'll be just as fine.

Joni Mitchell. While their songwriting peaks are basically equal, Mitchell has more of them. And while Cohen *might* be the better pure lyricist, Mitchell's lyrics work better in conversation with the other elements of the song.
