I still think that every step they've taken away from Rubber Factory so far has been a bad choice.
"Brothers" was just so much bland, uninteresting garbage compared to "Rubber Factory". "El Camino" seems to be following the same general trend... I really like Lonely Boy, though, it's nice and fun. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.
oh jack the rest of the album sounds like lonely boy so they're picking up the intensity a bit.... I've listened to the album all the way through like 5 times... its going in a different direction than brothers.
While Black Keys are still one of my fav bands, i do prefer the gritty, noisy, cheaply-recorded first albums. I will be buying El Camino this week, hope its better than Brothers - which despite a couple of good tracks, i found a bit boring......
While I enjoy Brothers (my second favourite album of 2010), El Camino seems interesting, but so far I haven't listened to it yet :/. It seems interesting, to say the least, but overall I think they arn't going to have a "Brothers" or "Attack and Release". I still think it will be good though _________________ "In my dreams, we're still screaming"
Is not better than "Brothers" or "Attack and "Release" but i found it a really fun record. I don't think they're getting radio friendly either, i kind of expected something like this after "Brothers", and if they are i don't think that's a bad think, Lonely Boy is probably the most radio friendly song in there and it's the best one. Terrific song.
