BLOW

Is my all time favorite movie and has the best acting I've ever witnessed.

Yes, I am going 2 "GARY" this thread because I truly believe in this movie 🤐

BLOW is a true and powerful movie about many different things and has it all. Drama, humor, action, and awesome music.

Many people have I heard say, "BLOW, that cocaine movie" ?

And I say, ya, that and many other things, have you actually WATCHED BLOW? So you have not. Well, watch it & let me know what you think.

Often times they have come back 2 me and said, "BLOW is the best movie I've ever seen" 🤣

Seriously though, they really have.

the movie helped me understanding why people love that much DSOTM.

I have to throw my support behind my nomination, especially since it's up against Gary, who I think I've known about his vocal approval for this movie since I joined, lol.

An excellent film, though it being Canadian and in French I know it hasn't received a lot of notice in the States or the rest of the (non-French-speaking) world. It does have the gay slant to it, which might be why I like it more than most, but I honestly think it's just great story-telling and acting. It won 10 awards from 12 nominations at the Genies (Canadian Oscars) and 13 of 14 at the Jutras (Quebec Oscars), though it has seen little recognition elsewhere outside of a scattering of film festivals. The director went on to film The Young Victoria, but I haven't seen it so I don't know if it's any good :p

And for you '70s minded folk, it does have quite the soundtrack, including Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Rolling Stones, Jefferson Rabbit... and a strange (though plot-related) relationship with Patsy Cline.

Fun fact: The C.R.A.Z.Y. of the title comes from the names of the five sons, in birth order (Christian, Raymond, Antoine, Zachary, Yvan)

It also has a better imdb and metacritic rating that Blow, though I'll admit that's more likely due to the fact that Blow has been more widely seen than CRAZY, and therefore has more people that dislike it as a result.

I'll freely admit to Gary I have not seen Blow, though it is on my list, but I doubt he's seen this one :p

IMO EVERY scene in BLOW is great and many are truly intense and gripping.
