- Post subject: National and World Days
|
I came across something online telling me that today is National Superhero Day, Save the Frogs Day, Global Pay It Forward Day, World Day for Safety and Health at Work, Kiss Your Mate Day, and more. It came with a link to click on to find out more. When I clicked on the link I found out today is also National Blueberry Pie Day, National Cubicle Day, Biological Clock Day, Clean Comedy Day (I'm all for that, but it should be more than one day.), Workers Memorial Day, Great Poetry Reading Day, National Youth Violence Prevention Week, Intergenerational Week, and National Stop Snoring Week. Here's the link. See for yourself.

What I'm wondering is, who made up all these themes for these days and weeks and how on earth could anyone keep track of them all?

Keep track of the important ones. And remember that April is still National Minority Health Month. It exists to raise awareness of minority health and disparities that affect people of color.
And just as important...April is National Autism Acceptance Month.
Much more worthy of being pointed out than National Stop Snoring Week, don't ya think? _________________ Hail Satan!

Yes. Some of these are just silly, but the important ones are things that should be focused on all the time, not just one day, one week, or one month. Some are so silly, I don't even know how people came up with them.

I just went back to that same site, and it says today is National Zipper Day. How silly is that? It says tomorrow is International Jazz Day. That one's OK.
