Seeing as the year is nearly done I wonder what was the best live act you've seen this year?

Mine would have to be Portishead at Harvest in Sydney. Amazing! Loved every second of it.

Also I got to see The National twice. They were great! Also mentions to: Tame Impala (Sydney Opera House), Interpol (Enmore Theatre), The Flaming Lips (Harvest), Friendly Fires.

Elbow (Enmore, Sydney) and Flaming Lips (Thebarton, Adelaide) would be the standouts.

Haven't been to much live music this year so the best I saw was probably a band I don't remember the name of who played at Ribfest in Davenport and did a mean cover of some of Santana's work.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

I've seen a looooot of shows this year... the standouts would probably have to be Crystal Castles for their high energy and Coheed and Cambria for their ridiculous 4-hour-ish set.

KO deserves an honourable mention here, too. I've never seen a more passionate rapper.

Cut Copy had incredible energy, like a punk show but positive and dance-y energy

Kanye had a ridiculously produced show that towards the end actually got a little heart-warming, like he was really lonely and heartbroken, or just had some bad blue balls

OFWGKTA; someone threw a water bottle at Tyler and half the gang flies into the crowd to beat on the guy
