Soooo I figure it will be better do this in the lounge, to avoid tournament over saturation. I am going to start this off with 8 rounds for 4 days and if that is to much to handle it will be scaled back to 4 rounds and 4 days, I will make further decsions about the rounds of 32 and 16 as we go and i'll keep you all posted 😄
For the other musical tournaments people have always used a music video to promote the album or band etc, obviously that can't be done with movies, so any alternative suggestions would much appreciated. 😁 (I did consider trailers, although I think we can do better)
There may also be a brief break in the Christmas to New Year period as that is quite a busy time (hope that is okay)
oh and one last thing, do you think we need a clarification of what a movie is? length, year of release and the like? I don't think we do, maybe just at least 50 minutes long?
So yeah ideas questions go ahead 😁

There are actually quite a few movies that are totally free on Youtube. Dr. Strangelove is one of them actually, I believe.

Yes but it won't be fair if I can only put up one movie in a competition.

Yeah I was thinking that as well. I will likely not have seen every movie that gets nominated though, I guess I could request scenes as well 🤔

oh okay...will do. Although I really don't think it's a good idea to run a tournament in the lounge. The 'Games' forum was created specifically with this sort of thing in mind (why the canadian tournament nominations would have been moved to the games section). ANd honestly doesn't it make it more convoluted to have to go to a different forum to votwe on a competition rather than keep it in the same one?
