I feel like I'm bombarding you with different suggestions, but I keep thinking of things that I feel could make the site even better... haha sorry.

Is the past performance of different albums, such as points and ranking, stored? If so, I think it would be cool if, for each album, there was a chart button that showed the change in points (perhaps in standard deviations from the mean?) and ranking.

I tried the overall chart and the going back in time feature but it doesn't seem to work.

But I was able to go back to 6/28/2009 and saw the album rankings for that day compaired to now and found it interesting.

Of the top 56 ranked albums on that day only Rubber Soul has moved up more than 3 spots on the overall rankings of the albums made before 1989.

Perhaps we could plot the overall rank over time.

It would be cool.

I just checked again on 6/28/2009 and...

Of the top 96 albums on the all time rankings chart during that day and year, only 4 albums made before 1989 went up more than 4 spots on the overall rankings.

While 10 albums from 1989 and newer went way up the ranks.

Funeral - Up 17
Doolittle - Up 13
ITAOTS - Up 16
Loveless - Up 11
Is This It - UP 23
In Utero -Up 23
Elephant - UP 18
Disintegration - Up 13
WPSIATWIN - Up 27
Absolution - Up 20

Please, that's great. The more ideas the better!

On the Overall Chart, you can go back as far as 28th June 2009 (when BEA first started keeping a history of the overall chart), and view the chart for any date since then.

🤔 That's an interesting idea. For each album, BEA could show a graph/chart showing an album's rank movement over time. Not sure where that would go at the moment, but maybe on each album page somewhere.

No big deal, but I believe that third quote is actually from Naples.

I was unaware of this feature. Thank you! It's really fun to look at 😄

Do you have any recollection of what the chart looked like back in this site's first year? (The top 10, specifically) I'm just curious. And it's fine if you don't remember that was a long time ago haha.
