I've always thought that Hip-Hop is greaty under-rated/unappreciated on this site. The first Hip-Hop album that appears in the top rated list is 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fanatsy' by Kanye West @ 126 (wouldn't really consider it Hip-Hop as such but for all intents and purposes),then Eminem with The Marshall Mathers LP @ 128 and Nas' 'Illmatic @ 142.I'm not saying that they should be in the top 10 or top 20 all time albums because I don't belive that, but the likes with such quality albums like 'Illmatic' , 'Reasonable Doubt' , 'Ready To Die' , 'Paul's Boutique' , 'Paid in Full' , 'The Low End Theory' or 'Me Against The World' at least one of them surely deserve at spot in the Top 100.Maybe I'm wrong, but had to but it out there, please don't attack me too much.

Absolutely.

And Wu-Tang's Enter The 36 Chambers should be top 100.

I could swear we had an identical thread recently, but yes, I'd absolutely say so.

yes, rap music is underated, but, with all of the people over 40, its gonna happen

I asked pretty much the exact same question when I first got here. You're absolutely right though, there's quite a few albums where it's a travesty that they don't make the top 100.

The ones that have been mentioned so far aswell as Liquid Swords, The College Dropout, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star to name just three.

If we're naming albums we think should be in the overall 100 I'll throw in Madvillainy and Deltron 3030.

I am 40, and I think rap albums are underrated on BEA.

No. But jazz, country, and metal albums are.
