I was a bit surprised that "name your own rank" fell to Level 8 users, partly because 5,000 is a lot of site activity by itself and partly because there are only 9 users (almost 10) at 10,000 or higher. Plus, there are only 31 users at 5,000-or-greater, so this would've been a good carrot to ascend to Level 7 status. Just wondering if you could reconsider.
Otherwise, will there be something unique to Level 7 users in the near future for us to obsess about?

It has been implemented a bit out of sequence, but shortly level 6 will be having 'year' charts, and then level 7 will be having 'fun' charts. Who knows, there might be some more features after that, and/or in between...

no worries, the activity there should easily give you the next level up. Also, being active in data moderation is a great way of contributing to the site and gaining points.
