Hi

I humbly suggest for you the Bottom Charts, worst albums charts. and they for to be calculated with the Overall charts. because I see it's not right to deny the other disliking-half people of any kind of album. even the bottom ranked album in Top Charts means at least as least-like, not dislike.

Someone may say it could be abusive and down-ranking albums unfairly! .. so I say let they (the bottom charts) have less points than top charts. like for example: the top ranked bottom chart' item gets -20 points only rather than -100, and -19 for the second item and so on.. so what do think guys?

BEA isn't really set up for this kind of thing. We don't have a database that includes every album, just albums that are added, so having some added just to be on a "bottom list" sounds pointless to me. As in an album having an overall rank score of -20.

Even disregarding that, I'm against the idea. People don't listen to music for the sake of looking for the "worst" stuff. Or at least they shouldn't.

(I would probably end up fuming at the albums that would be considered the "worst" anyways)

I don't think so, the worst albums for an individual are usually popular enough, an could be found on the site, or otherwise can be added as new item. and what's wrong with an album having (-) number of points? I don't see it!

That's not the purpose, even though it could be entertaining I guess, it's for the sake of more accurate and truthful Overall Charts. as I said, it doesn't seem right to ignoring the "dislikers". they should be counted.

I don't like the idea of albums losing points based on 'bottom' charts. What makes BEA different is that it compiles its charts from everyone's lists of favorites, if everybody can make charts to downvote whatever they want then we'll be as bad as RYM. I would say just wait until the fun charts come out.

That's why I have said for they having less points than Top-charts. and don't forget that what you are afraid of happens (Inversely) in top-charts, like someone high-ranking an album he or she thinks it deserves a higher rank in the overall charts.

And if so, it'll still be better than RYM, because of our Ranking system rather than RYM' blind Rating system

🤣 That's called liking an album.

But I really don't see "bottom charts" changing the overall chart much. It would just widen the gap between the perceived great albums and the perceived bad ones. Which is something I'm avidly against.

Not a, um, terrible idea, but not really a good one for this site and it seems like it would send a bad message towards how certain types of music and albums are viewed

If bottom charts will be created, we will have like 10 jazz albums, 8 Bob Dylan albums, a lot of lo-fi and post-punk albums and no Oasis-albums in the top 100. BEA is for casual music listeners, not for music snobs!
