As some may know, I am a teacher and this year, my focus has been Drama. So far, so good.

My year 11 class is going to attempt an adaptation of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland set in a mental ward of the Hearts Hospital. It is basically a blank script (no set) so it can be set anywhere but I have seen another school production of it last year in this setting and it seems to work.

However, being the music man that I am, I am collecting tracks to help me create this mood for the play or just for general inspiration. So far I have collected Almost Alice, Tom Waits' Alice and the quintessential White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane.

Basically I am asking if anyone has ideas, suggestions or selections that they can offer. Will take on board what comes.

At the moment I have this song that gives me a possible opening as Alice is dragged into the asylum.

This one has some strange Alice In Wonderland footage to go with it.

I don't know, maybe use the song Alice by Cocteau Twins?

Thanks for the advice guys. The play isn't for a few months but getting my music together is the main thing.

Also thinking these as inspiration:
