Sounds interesting, but I'm not sure it will favor little-known bands or music. We will probably see more from Sigur Rós, Bob Marley, Björk, Daft Punk, Can and Kraftwerk than we are used to. "World" could work. It might be a better title. Some people relate "world music" with cultural music genres, though.
@Mother Nature's Son - yea, same rules as album of the day. Variety is good. At first we would probably only see a couple handfuls of the more popular ones but I can imagine it would start spreading out after a month or so.

I try to find as many albums from countries that I don't usually hear from, but it's difficult. I recently listened to an album from Iran and loved it.
Brazil, Chile, Bahamas, Japan, etc...all have really interesting music that I want to listen to 😄 _________________ Doubles & Conch

Dunno if you'll be able to stream this in Canada, but I imagine you'd enjoy this radio programme. Lots of jazz, world, funk/soul, hip-hop, experimental electronica. Plus the presenter is just a really nice guy. Figured I'd post it here given he particularly puts an emphasis on international music.
