I absolutely love the system here at BEA, it's clean, easy to navigate, and puts a lot of things in good perspective. Is there by any chance a Best Ever Movies type of site that has the basic structure of BEA.

I'd love for there to be a site where I can put up my list of favorite movies and see the full lists just like I can with albums on this site.

So, please, someone tell me if there is a site dedicated to movies that follows the basis of this site.

Thanks.

Not a lot of great things come out of Kansas, but that is one hell of an idea my man. I second that.

While not identical IMDb.com rates movies and provides a very comprehensive database and search functions. You can make your own chart and if you wish share it. You can rate movies as a member and see the aggregate member ratings in chart form. IMDb uses ratings (not chart positions) to provide rankings.

Hmm, I knew about IMDb, but I didn't know they had a system like that. Thanks RFNAPLES, I'll check it out.

Yikes that site has The Dark Knight in the top 10. That's the 'OK Computer' of that site for sure.

The reason that this site works is because of its smaller community of people who are really passionate about music. The IMDB top lists are pretty much useless, it's a couple hundred people who spam votes for the same thing, and 10,000 who don't know jack shit about what they're talking about. Almost none of those movies belong in a list of the top 10 of all time. It's certainly a good list of the 10 most popular films of all time, but not much else.

the IMDB ranking system isn't that bad ! sure not perfect

one thing important to know is that not all votes are taken in the global votes, you should actually vote very often to have your vote taken in the global voting.

I'm liking this site lately. Not quite like BEA, but very nice in it's own way.

In an ideal world, we would have the BEA engine for best ever video games, movies, books, bands... the possibilities are endless.
