Very underrated album. Peace Sells usually gets all the hype as far as Megadeth albums go, but this one is vastly superior, in my opinion. The title track is just incredible.

I'd also like to point out how perfect this would have been for the 666th album of the day. Alas...

The sheer lack of comments on this album is just a testament to how much more people should listen to it.

I'd like to know how this is underated?? They just did a tour and released a DVD of Rust In Peace performed from front to back,
in its entirety. Any Megadeth fan, or Metal fan knows this is a wonderful album. Just saying. Dave Mustaine is a Christian and has been for awhile, so the 666 mention wouldn't work either. It's not a Satanic album at all.

Anyways, RIP remains Megadeth's best album. The musicianship is just incredible. They are a great live band as well. This was probably their best lineup too. Mustaine, Ellefson, Friedman, and Menza.

Whoa, dude, take it easy.

I said the album is underrated because I think it deserves to be ranked higher than it is. Very few of my friends know Megadeth at all, and the few who do only know Peace Sells. In its time as album of the day, it accumulated about 7 comments. Yes, obviously Megadeth fans and metal fans know this album is good, but that doesn't really say anything. That's like saying that Queens of the Stone Age fans know that Rated R is a good album.

I never said it was satanic. The album has a consistently dark tone in its music, lyrics, and album cover. It may not be the perfect album of the day #666, but I can just about guarantee you that it would be more fitting than whatever album WILL get #666.

Now I didn't think it was necessary to say all of that because I didn't think anyone cared that much. I guess I was wrong. Chill out.

Gotcha Sweden...It doesn't surprise me there is so little commenting on here about a Metal album. Metal will always be the black sheep of Rock n Roll if you will. I like it that way.
